Varicose veins are a common problem, affecting up to 1 in 3 adults in their lifetime. They are usually a sign of an underlying venous insufficiency.
Thread veins can appear anywhere on the body but are mostly evidenced on the legs and face. They are more common than varicose veins, affecting up to 80% of adults.

Emma is our friendly Tunbridge Wells receptionist who joined the Veincentre team when the clinic opened. Previously, Emma worked as a wig dresser for worldwide fashion houses before having her beautiful girls. She then spent many years re-training in learning support for primary school children followed by secondary educational administration and pastoral care. Before joining Veincentre in January 2022, she worked in reception and administration in an NHS GP practice.
Emma loves looking after people and being in a caring role. She helps the Medical Secretary team with typing alongside her reception role and she really enjoys everything about it.
She loves to laugh, making pottery, swimming, wildlife, gardening and her beautiful Maine Coon cats and chickens, named Milly, Molly, Mandy, Maisie, Mabel and Mary!
