Vein Treatment at Veincentre Manchester

At Veincentre Manchester, we treat varicose veins, thread veins (spider veins) on the legs and thread veins on the face. Your treatment journey for vein conditions in the legs will start with a consultation with one of our experienced consultants, where a duplex ultrasound scan will be performed to determine whether there is an underlying cause to your vein problems (varicose veins), or whether it is just cosmetic (thread veins). The consultant will then explain to you the results of the scan and talk you through a tailored treatment plan.

Treatment for Varicose Veins

  • Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) – the Gold Standard treatment used to treat the underlying condition of varicose veins
  • Foam Sclerotherapy – mostly used as a secondary treatment following EVLA
  • Avulsions – involve physically removing varicose veins and can be done alongside EVLA

Treatment for Thread Veins (Spider Veins)

  • Microsclerotherapy – the most effective and most common form of thread vein treatment

Treatment for Face Veins (Facial Thread Veins)

Your face vein treatment journey will begin with a consultation where the area will be examined with a polarised light to determine the recommended treatment.

  • Thermocoagulation – the Gold standard treatment for facial thread veins
