Varicose veins are a common problem, affecting up to 1 in 3 adults in their lifetime. They are usually a sign of an underlying venous insufficiency.
Thread veins can appear anywhere on the body but are mostly evidenced on the legs and face. They are more common than varicose veins, affecting up to 80% of adults.
Leg ulcers appear as broken skin in the lower leg or feet. We have been successfully treating venous leg ulcers for over 20 years.

Dear patients
Effective 1st March 2021, in order to attend an appointment it is no longer a requirement to either stay at home for 10 days prior to the appointment or have a negative PCR test. Although this requirement has been removed due to the reduction in Covid transmission rates, we still encourage patients to stay at home or have a test.
If you’re in the Clinically Extremely Vulnerable Group of the population we advise you continue to follow the Government’s latest advice. See more information on the NHS website link: Who’s at Higher Risk from Coronavirus? and Advice for people at high risk
Our full Covid Protocols can be found here.
Best wishes Dr David West
Medical Director
