Varicose veins are a common problem, affecting up to 1 in 3 adults in their lifetime. They are usually a sign of an underlying venous insufficiency.
Thread veins can appear anywhere on the body but are mostly evidenced on the legs and face. They are more common than varicose veins, affecting up to 80% of adults.
Leg ulcers appear as broken skin in the lower leg or feet. We have been successfully treating venous leg ulcers for over 20 years.

Dear Patients
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of a new national lockdown, we have made the necessary decision to close all our Veincentre clinics again effective immediately. We are terribly sorry for the inevitable upset and inconvenience this will cause our patients however we feel it the right thing to do to protect our team, patients and country as we all play our small part in the necessary social distancing required to reduce the spread of this new variant of the virus. The urgency and critical nature of the situation across the U.K. is such that we must all now pull together, however difficult that is, to save lives and protect the NHS from being truly overwhelmed.
We have informed our lovely team and we are in the process of informing all affected patients personally.
We have followed and will continue to follow, the government’s advice throughout this pandemic. If we were to remain open this defies the latest stay at home message that people should only leave their homes for essential purposes.
We are not sure how long our closure will last however we will keep abreast of any changes and hope to open as soon as it is safe to do so. We will continue to be available via telephone and email throughout our closure. If you need any advice or support before we’re open again please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We are also hopeful to provide a face to face service for those with urgent clinical issues.
We wish everyone a safe passage through the next few difficult weeks. We look forward to treating you as soon as we can after this latest wave of the pandemic has passed through. We will update when we know more about reopening but in the meantime – stay calm, stay distant, stay healthy.
If you are a current patient of ours, we will contact you as soon as we have dates available to rebook your appointment.
