Varicose veins are a common problem, affecting up to 1 in 3 adults in their lifetime. They are usually a sign of an underlying venous insufficiency.
Thread veins can appear anywhere on the body but are mostly evidenced on the legs and face. They are more common than varicose veins, affecting up to 80% of adults.
Leg ulcers appear as broken skin in the lower leg or feet. We have been successfully treating venous leg ulcers for over 20 years.
Upfront and fixed prices. Find out exactly what youâll pay before attending. Medical Insurance should fund varicose vein treatment.

UK’s largest network of specialist clinics
All our clinics remain open, following the Governmentâs announcement on the 31/10/2020 of a second Covid-19 lockdown. The government is keen that all medical treatment continues and that includes both urgent and routine care. We will be monitoring this daily and if anything changes we will be letting all our patients know. We are currently, in the process of contacting all our patients with the update.
Infection control is already a top priority of ours and we are taking all steps we can to minimise risk to our patients and staff. We are following, and will continue to follow the governmentâs advice, and are keeping abreast of all updates. We have had Covid-19 procedures in place since re-opening of our clinics in June and we update these accordingly. We thank all our patients for bearing with us and for the great feedback we have received regarding our Covid-19 procedures. To find out more about our Covid-19 procedures, please follow this link.
Is my appointment for varicose vein treatment still going ahead as scheduled?
All varicose veins appointments that have been booked are going ahead and we will be contacting all our patients with an update on this.
What happens if I want to cancel my appointment due to the second COVID-19 lockdown?
If you want to cancel or move your appointment to a later date of course you are more than welcome to do so. Please email us on patientcare@veincentre.com to let us know and we will get back to you regarding this. You wonât lose your deposit, we can either retain it on our system if you would like to book in for a later date or we will issue a full refund.
What happens with my follow up appointment if I am unable to attend during the second COVID-19 lockdown?
If you are due to attend a follow-up appointment, we want to confirm that although we advise patients that the follow up should be taken within 6-8 weeks of primary treatment, delaying this appointment will have no detrimental effect on your treatment. As over 99% of patients require foam at follow up, regrettably it will however mean that your treatment journey will be delayed and hence it will take longer to see the full results of treatment.
We usually insist upon patients attending within 4 months of treatment so that we can rescan their legs and confirm the EVLA treatment has been successful (i.e. fixed the underlying cause of the problems). We ask you to attend within 4 months as we offer a guarantee that, in the very unlikely event EVLA has not been successful, we will repeat this free of charge for you. In light of the circumstances, this guarantee will be extended until we can see you again.
Are you accepting new appointment bookings?
Yes, we are. Please email paitentcare@veincentre.com or call us on 01782 753 960 to find out more.
Online consultations
We are still offering online consultations, if you are worried about your varicose veins and worried about travelling during the second Covid-19 lockdown, then please contact us, this applies to any consultations which have been booked and for any new patients.
See & treat on the same day
Our see & treat appointments have proven to be extremely popular during the last 5 months as it allows you to have a consultation & treatment on the same day. If this is something of interest then please email us some photos of your varicose veins so we can identify whether you are suitable for the see & treat option.
